RECONNUE D'UTILITÉ PUBLIQUE PAR DÉCRET DU 16 MAI 1929

Dear colleagues, dear photobiologists,

 

The French Society for Photobiology is happy to welcome you on its web site.

 

Photobiology is a vast and varied area of research, but crossed by common concepts, techniques and methodologies. It therefore seems important to us to promote exchanges between the different topic of our rich discipline, which is what the French Society of Photobiology is doing.

 

After 2 years of almost complete shutdown of our activities due to the health situation, work is resuming within the Society. This first became visible in November 2021 in Toulouse with the joint symposium with the GdR HappyBio and the Francophone Society of Medical Photonics. We also co-organized with the French Society of Photodermatology and the Group of Cutaneous Carcinogenesis an e-conference at the beginning of the year. It was a great success both in terms of the quality of the interventions and the number of participants.

 

Regarding future activities, we have already planned for June 2023 a joint conference in Rennes with photodermatologists. We also plan to organize an event in the second half of this year, in particular for topics not related to human health. Finally, the big event for the SFPB will be the organization of the congress of the European Society of Photobiology in Lyon in 2023, a decision recently validated by the executive committee of the ESP.

 

In addition, the new executive committees and the new board, in place since 2020, are open to all your suggestions. We also remain open to all contacts with other groups whose concerns overlap, even partially, with those of the SFPb. In this regard, we can only encourage new members to work with us by joining our society (see procedure on this site).

 

I wish you success and success in your activities, however diverse they may be.
